Visitor and Masking Update June 25, 2021

Kendal at Ithaca

Current Guidelines for Visitors

  • All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are welcome to visit residents in their homes.
  • In the Health Center, all visitors must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
  • Unvaccinated visitors in the Community Building must wear a mask if they are old enough to be able to wear one. Vaccinated visitors do not need to wear a mask outside of the Health Center.
  • Vaccinated and unvaccinated (masked) visitors are welcome to congregate in the auditorium, the library, conference rooms, the lobby areas and outdoor courtyard spaces. Unvaccinated visitors should maintain six-foot social distancing from others even when masked.
  • Only vaccinated visitors are permitted in the pool area, the fitness center, the salon, and any dining areas to pick up carry out.  Unvaccinated visitors may not dine in any areas of the Community Building.

PLEASE NOTE

  • At this time we are unable to accommodate visitors in the Windows Dining Room or Café during operating hours due to staffing constraints. We are hoping to welcome visitors to the dining venues in the next few weeks. In the meantime, residents are welcome to order food to go and dine with vaccinated visitors in other areas (The closed Café at dinner time or the Rose Garden café would be available for seating).
