Financial Health

It is critical for Lifecare communities to maintain financial well-being. An excellent source of consumer information about lifecare finances and the important metrics that define their health is available from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This organization provides a performance review of communities like Kendal at Ithaca and rates them against international standards. The CARF Consumer Guide to Understanding Financial Performance & Reporting in Continuing Care Retirement Communities is an excellent source of critical information.

Compliance Information

Corporate compliance is a formal program specifying an organization’s policies and procedures to help them prevent and detect violations of laws and regulations. This includes standards for performance, clear statements of practices, rules and policies. The program fosters a culture of compliance that promotes legal and ethical behavior in the workplace by creating processes that detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and policy violations.

Kendal at Ithaca’s Code of Conduct covers the compliance issues, laws and regulations, and guidelines that are relevant to a provider of senior services, especially those providing a wide range of healthcare services.
