Life in Taughannock House
Taughannock House residents have private rooms in one of three neighborhoods and bring their own furniture and favorite possessions. Kendal’s non-institutional design enhances the quality of everyday life: floors are carpeted, visiting is not restricted by established hours, and the public address system is used solely for emergencies. Making the decision to move to the Health Center is a team process, and each resident is assured of full partnership in the making of such a decision. Evaluation by a physician is a necessary prerequisite of admission to Taughannock House.
