Visit Guidelines for the Kendal at Ithaca Health Center

Visitation will be scheduled in one-hour blocks between 10am and 8pm, seven (7) days a week.

All visitors are required to sign in prior to their visit at the Accushield kiosk and sign out upon departure at the South Lobby.

Visitors must always wear masks. If you fail to follow the guidelines you may lose the opportunity to visit in the future.

Visitors are not required to be tested prior to visiting the Health Center. However, free testing for all visitors in Resident’s Care at the following times: Tuesday 2:00pm to 4:00pm; Wednesday 2:30pm to 3:30pm; and, Friday 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

Two (2) visitors are allowed in a resident’s room at any given time. Accommodations for more can be made. There is no age limit on visitation.

Visitors are encouraged to walk with their loved ones on Kendal pathways. Visits are encouraged to take place outdoors (weather permitting).

Residents may leave campus with a vaccinated person for a short period of time (less than four (4) hours) Please ask about sign out procedures when you schedule your visit.

In Taughannock House only, residents and visitors may touch, as long as proper hand sanitizing protocols are followed before and after the visit.

If you are coming from out-of-state and are unvaccinated you must follow current NYS guidance at the following link https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory. If you are fully vaccinated testing is not required. *Reminder: Full Vaccination means that you are greater than 2 weeks post your second dose of vaccine (as applicable) and less than 90 days after your last dose.
