Kendal has a new look!

Overview

Over the past two years, The Kendal Corporation has engaged in a thoughtful process to evolve the Kendal brand in ways that reflect both our shared values and the strength of Affiliate organizations.

Residents, team members, and leaders across the system participated in discussions, workshops, and polls throughout this process. Their feedback helped shape the direction of this work and ensured that the Kendal brand reflects the perspectives of Affiliates across the System.

A brand represents what people can expect when they interact with an organization. Across the system, Kendal communities are recognized for:

  • Magnetic appeal that draws people to Kendal
  • Universal values rooted in Quaker principles
  • Autonomy and dignity for residents and members
  • Engagement and connection within community life
  • Stability and stewardship that provide long-term confidence

This brand work resulted in the logo you see above – a “trillium” mark reinforcing the core principles of the Kendal system.

The Meaning Behind the Trillium Mark

Connection and Community: The looping lines represent the interconnected relationships that sustain Kendal communities.
Balance and Partnership: The three leaves symbolize collaboration among residents/members, team members, and governing boards.
Growth and Renewal: The trillium flower represents renewal and vitality.

Creativity and Confidence: The raspberry accent brings visual energy while maintaining the heritage and stability of Kendal green. The full rollout will take about 18-24 months, but you will start to see this new logo in email signatures, on our social media sites, the web site and on forms and other marketing materials.
