Weekly wrap up for January 28, 2022

Good morning,

On Wednesday an independent living resident tested positive for COVID19. The resident is isolating and recovering in their residence. Any residents who were a close contact have been notified and are testing regularly. This is not unexpected, in fact I’m surprised that we have gone this long without a resident testing positive.

A reminder that rapid test kits are available at the main reception desk during normal hours – 8:30am – 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and 10am – 4pm on weekends and holidays for visitors to Taughannock House, our skilled nursing facility.

We continue to see a steady decline in the number of positive COVID-19 tests among staff and the number of staff out of work. However, students are all coming back to town so we urge everyone to please continue to be very careful as we may see an increase in cases as our local population increases – time will tell.
