Update for February 16, 2021

This morning, Kendal at Ithaca was informed that a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, no close contacts with this person have been identified. The last time this person was on campus was Thursday, February 11, 2021.

In-person visitation continues to be on pause and is extended an additional 14 days for the entire Health Center.

Be assured that Kendal at Ithaca continues to explore a variety of avenues for advocating on behalf of residents and their loved ones for relief in the visitation policies, especially as the expected beneficial effects of vaccination begin to emerge.

At this time, all neighborhoods in Taughannock House will continue to remain open for communal activities and dining.

Residents in Cascadilla House and a few staff will receive their final dose of the vaccine this coming Sunday. This is last clinic that was scheduled. Going forward, we are hopeful to be given the green light to vaccinate new residents and staff as they join our community using Kendal staff, in much the same way the flu vaccine is administered.
