Update for 8/22/2021

Today we were notified that a second employee in Taughannock House has tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, we DO NOT believe the two cases are linked but have not been able to 100% rule it out. The individual who tested positive had received one dose of vaccine and is experiencing mild symptoms. We tested all T House residents and staff working on August 22nd and all received negative results.

In accordance with CMS regulation, indoor visitation to Taughannock House (Owasco, Seneca, Cayuga) will be suspended until the facility has achieved 14 consecutive days with no new positives (employees and residents). We will be offering compassionate visitation for those who were pre-approved earlier this week. If you were not pre-approved for compassionate visitation earlier this week and you would like to be considered, please email Erica Hostetler or Mike Youmans and include your justification.

T House residents may continue to participate in communal dining and group activities (socially distanced) within T House at this time. We will share updated information tomorrow on how scheduled visitation may occur (virtual and outdoors).

At this time, there are no further restrictions for Cascadilla House or Independent Living residents.
