Update for April 22, 2021

We are announcing a change in visiting at Kendal at Ithaca. The Main Reception area in the new building will be unlocked for walk-in access from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The South Lobby entrance, which has served as our main entrance since access was restricted early in the pandemic, is also now open from 8:00 am to 8:00pm.

All persons entering through either doorway are expected to screen in using the Accushield kiosk. The process is pretty well self-directed by the device and visitors will be issued a name tag upon completion of the sign-in and should attach a round sticker with the date to their name tag.

Kendal would like to remind visitors to residents of the Health Center to please sign-up for visits prior to arrival. Cut and paste the appropriate link into your browser to schedule your visit:

We have recently seen an increase in visitors showing up without signing-up prior to the visit. Please note that Kendal reserves the right to restrict an individual’s right to visit if they do not comply with visitation guidelines.

Across the state, we have seen breakthrough cases in facilities where all residents are fully-vaccinated. We are committed to our visitation plan to limit risk for our residents. When you arrive, please sign in at the kiosk and receive a sticker that identifies you as having been screened. This is very important and is required for compliance with Department of Health regulations.

We are grateful to be able to welcome visitors in the Health Center once again. Watch for more information about other changes. Please remember that guests are not yet able to dine in the dining rooms, but may get take-out for dining in private residences.

Be well,

Betsy
