Please do NOT visit if you have experienced fever or any symptoms of COVID19 in the last 72 hours, including respiratory symptoms, cough, chills, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, stomach upset.  A complete list of symptoms is available here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html

Please read this entire document and be sure you can comply with the visitation guidelines.

Initially, please do not schedule more than 1 visit in a week, as we work to accommodate everyone who has been waiting to visit.

Upon Arrival

Please park at the Main Entrance – it is located straight ahead when you drive onto the campus.

Please arrive on time for your visit, as visits are only one hour in duration.

Please check in with the Screener FIRST and provide all required information

Please wear a mask at all times – it must cover your nose and mouth.  Physical distancing must be observed at all times – you must maintain 6 feet of distance from your loved one.

Dress appropriately for weather conditions.

At this time, no exchange of items is permitted.  If you have items to drop off, please give them to a staff person. Eating and drinking during the visit is prohibited because masks must be worn at all times.

Visit Limitations

Visiting is permitted while our region of the state is at Phase 3 or higher.

Only two visitors at a time are permitted, any visitor under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age. In the case of inclement weather, visits may be cancelled.

A positive COVID-19 case among staff or residents will necessitate the cancelling of the visiting program until we have no positive cases for 28 days.

Kendal at Ithaca or the Department of Health may suspend visiting at any time due to community or public health concerns.

Failure of a visitor to follow all safety guidelines will result in prohibition from visiting for the duration of the COVID 19 state-declared public health emergency. This includes, but is not limited to, appropriate wearing of masks and physical distancing.
