April 29, 2020 —Ithaca, New York (Nov. 11, 2019) — Mary Pat Dolan, Chair of Kendal at Ithaca’s Board of Trustees, has announced that veteran senior living administrator Laurie J. Mante has been selected to lead Kendal at Ithaca as its new Executive Director. Mante will assume her role as of Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.
“Our Search Committee, which has been working together over the better part of the last year, included several board members, leadership staff, Kendal Corporation colleagues and the president of the Resident Council,” Dolan said. “Having engaged broadly from the beginning of our process, our final selection was also informed by numerous meetings with Laurie and all of the stakeholder groups here at Kendal at Ithaca.”
A licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Mante most recently has served as Regional Administrator overseeing regulatory, operational and financial performance for Centers Health Care, an organization with over 50 skilled nursing communities throughout New York State. In that position, she worked with the corporate office and collaborated with community administrators and leadership teams to improve quality and financial outcomes.

From 2002 to 2018, Mante served in a variety of executive positions with St. Peter’s Health Partners based in Albany, New York. She was the Executive Director of Eddy Village Green, a 192 bed skilled nursing community, where she earlier served as the Project Director that transformed the community to the Green House Model© of care in 2010. Mante also served as the Vice President for the Residential Services Division, overseeing 7 skilled nursing facilities, 5 adult day care programs, Alzheimer’s assisted living and community-based caregiver initiatives. She also was the Executive Director of the Community Hospice, providing hospice and palliative care services to 5,000 patients annually.
Mante graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in business/marketing. She also has a master’s degree in business, with a concentration on health systems management from Clarkson University.
