RESIDENTS at Kendal at Ithaca
The residents of Kendal
at Ithaca are responsible for the creation of an active, interesting
community.
The Residents' Association
was founded shortly after people began moving into the community
in 1995. In those early days, a few informal groups began to coalesce
to share their interests. The leaders of the Residents' Council
recognized the need to centralize the activities of the organization
for the benefit of the entire community. By becoming a not-for-profit
corporation bound with fiduciary obligations to the whole community,
the Residents' Association is able to provide the opportunities
for enriching activities beyond the reach of the individual committees.
The Residents' Council works to insure that the assets of the
organization are distributed, so that the most number of residents
can participate in the activities of the community.
The residents maintain their own web
site, which contains a wealth of information and is updated
frequently. Included on this site are the latest issue of The
Breeze, schedules of upcoming events, articles about various
happenings in the community, a series of photographs, and links
to other relevant sites. It is created and maintained completely
by the Residents' Computer Committee.
