Kendal offers independent living in 212 cottages and apartments, but as the needs of people change, either permanently or temporarily, other levels of care are readily available. Cascadilla House is our Enhanced Assisted Living Residence, and Taughannock House provides skilled nursing services in single rooms.
Kendal at Ithaca operates on the principle that the ability of people to choose for themselves must be kept alive. We provide facilities and space, but residents plan and execute all activities themselves. This has resulted in the creation of an active, stimulating community, which reflects the interests and wishes of the people living there.
The location of Kendal near both Cornell University and Ithaca College insures extensive cultural, educational and recreational activities, which are easily accessed from Kendal.
If you are now living independently and researching retirement options, or if you are a child or friend helping someone to make this important decision, Kendal at Ithaca is worth exploring. We welcome the opportunity to share information with you.
